The public got its first glimpse at the design for the new Crowley High School, scheduled to open in fall of 2027, during the March 28 school board meeting.

The voter-approved Bond 2023 program includes a replacement campus for Crowley High School to be located in the same location as the current facility.

Lauren Brown of VLK Architects presented an animation and other renderings of the design, pointing out some of the highlights of the campus, including the Media Center, which could serve as a gathering space for students, teachers and the community, as well as a courtyard, performing arts center and an indoor arena.

Trustees praised the design of the new campus and thanked taxpayers for their approval of Bond 2023, which makes its construction possible.

"I think it’s an amazing structure, and it’s something to be proud of," Trustee Dr. Mia Hall said. "I’m very excited. It’s beautiful."
