Students celebrated their acceptance into Crowley ISD's MyChoice Programs for the 2017-18 school year across the district April 6-7, 2017. District administrators traveled to campuses and recognized all accepted students with bright MyChoice Programs sunglasses and took group photos.
"We are celebrating with our students, staff and leaders of our MyChoice Programs to let them know that we are standing behind them and supporting their efforts to provide our students with a non-traditional way of learning that's engaging and that they're passionate about. Pam Berry, Crowley ISD Executive Director for Secondary Leadership, said. "We are so excited to see what's in store for our students."
MyChoice Programs allow students of all ages to take ownership in their education. Families are given the power to choose unique learning opportunities based on personal interests, aspirations and preferred learning styles. Student applications are scheduled to open in February for the 2017-18 school year.
"Our students are very excited about the type of learning that is occurring in our MyChoice Programs," Berry said. "They're engaged in their learning and excited to get there becasue they don't know what's going to happen that day."
