DUAL CREDIT PARENT MEETING
On behalf of the College and Career Readiness department, Angie Wilkinson and Michael Mundt would like to invite you and your parent to our annual dual credit meeting on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  The meeting will last from 6-8 p.m. and take place in the cafeteria at the B.R. Johnson Career & Tech Center.

We will not only discuss dual credit opportunities ,but we will also be discussing UT OnRamps, Advanced Placement opportunities and briefly touch upon how to make the most of PSAT results. Dual credit opportunities begin in the 9th grade through Early College High School and in 10th grade for the program with Tarrant County College (TCC).

The majority of the meeting will discuss the partnership with TCC, as well as how to get involved in the process, from applying to taking the TSI test, and registering and paying for classes. We have found that those who attend this meeting have a much smoother experience and understand the rules and regulations much better. With expanding the meeting to discuss other advanced academic opportunities, this meeting will help families better understand the options available and the differences between the courses/programs to help make the best decision about the education they desire for their student.
